Easy to use “Intuitive Menus”
As seen above, simply clicking on a transaction brings up an intuitive menu with several options.
Each option is demonstrated along with a description below.
When the “Sell Stock” button is clicked, “Stocks Tracker” asks for the quantity of shares sold, sell price, sale date and the broker fees. The original stock purchase information is automatically filled in already.
The “Edit Stock” button brings up the “Edit Open Transaction” dialog that allows you to make changes to the stock transaction as seen at the right.
The “Estimate Profit / Loss” button brings up a very useful calculator (seen at right). With this calculator you can easily calculate the stock price that would be needed to obtain a certain profit amount in either a dollar amount or as a percentage amount.
You can also project a stock share price for calculating a stop loss dollar amount or stop loss amount as a percentage. Very useful calculator that you will use often!
The “Stop / Sell Price” dialog is a reference tool that you can enter “Stop Loss” and “Sell Limit” prices into the program for your reference. This way you don’t have to go to your broker account to remind yourself of stop loss or sell limit orders you may have placed on the stock.
The “Delete Stock” button does just as you would think. It brings up the dialog at right and at your option will delete the stock entry from your portfolio.
From within the “Stocks Tracker” program, you can get quotes for up to 6 stocks at a time. Simply enter the stock symbols separated by commas and click the “Get Quotes” button. It’s that easy!
