• Kodiak Sciences rose 7% ahead of Phase 3 DAYBREAK trial results

Stock futures were lower Monday morning as Washington rejected Iran's truce offer, sending Brent crude above $107 and Treasury yields toward 5% amid deepening tech and AI safety concerns. Biggest gainers: Kodiak Sciences (KOD) rose 7% ahead of topline results from its Phase 3 DAYBREAK study evaluating Zenkuda and KSI-501 in wet AMD patients, due at 8:30 AM ET. NIO rose 2% after Geely agreed to acquire a 30% stake in NIO's battery-swapping unit for roughly $2.4B, contributing its commercial-vehicle battery-swapping business plus 640M yuan ($95M) cash; the firms are also discussing broader battery-swap collaboration. Biggest loser: Gold Fields (GFI) plunged 13% after Northern Star Resources rejected its $27B takeover proposal as "highly opportunistic." The offer of 0.3125 Gold Fields shares plus A$7.25 cash per share had initially valued Northern Star at A$38.7B (a 22% premium), but fell to an implied A$36.1B by Sept. 25.
